Cornell College is hiring instructors to teach intensive, two-week-long segments of undergraduate-level courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering at our partner institution, Beihua University in Jilin, China. The courses are taught in English. Two sections of a given course are taught concurrently and each section meets for two hours every weekday for the two week period.  Our current needs are courses in JAVA Programming Design, Computer Communication Networks, Communication Theory, and Digital Signal Processing to be taught in November 2019.  Our future needs will be courses in Mobile Applications Software, Embedded Systems, Signals and Systems, and Multimedia Communications Technology to be taught in May 2020.  We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in the undergraduate teaching. We will prefer candidates who have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline; candidates who are ABD or have Masters' or significant professional experience will also be seriously considered.  This position requires excellent spoken English.

Cornell College, a deeply student-focused selective liberal arts college, is distinguished by its One Course At A Time curriculum, a philosophy which allows students more opportunities for off-campus study, full-time internships, and research blocks. Academic immersion and unparalleled flexibility, thanks to the One Course Calendar, attract an ambitious student body from nearly all 50 US states and territories and many foreign countries. External endorsements include selection as one of the Colleges That Change Lives, a U.S. News Top 100 liberal arts college, and a Fiske Guide to Colleges Best Buy.
