Cornell College invites applicants for a three-year renewable non-tenure-track appointment in Kinesiology. The appointment will begin in the fall of 2020.  

The successful candidate is expected to 1) teach five Kinesiology courses each year, with specialization in athletic training or related field, 2) provide academic and career advising for students majoring in kinesiology, particularly related to athletic training.  

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for the position include a Master's degree, or equivalent, in Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or a closely related field. Successful candidates will be able to teach Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Coaching Authorization and Endorsement, Lifetime Physical Fitness & Activities, and other courses related to the candidate's expertise. Successful candidates will also complete or maintain relevant certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or related terminal degree in related field
  • Certification in Athletic Training (ATC) and CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
  • Desire to mentor students who are interested in athletic training
  • Demonstrated teaching ability
