Applications are being accepted for the Chaplain of the College. The Chaplain is responsible for providing guidance and support on matters of spiritual formation; serves as counselor to students, faculty, and staff; works with various campus organizations and Divisions of the College; assists the President with church-college relations; provides Spiritual Life leadership, and engages in occasional teaching. This position is a full-time, 11-month benefits-eligible position.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Ordination, preferably in the United Methodist Church, and a M.Div. degree. Experience in college chaplaincy or similar ministry with demonstrated ability to serve in a Church-related, non-sectarian, ecumenical, and multi-faith context.

Preferred Skills

Organizational, communication, counseling, and spiritual direction skills. Ability to preach and to conduct appropriately the customary rituals of the College throughout the academic year. Ability to communicate effectively, interact professionally, maintain confidentiality in a variety of situations (in person and on the telephone), and possess a commitment to compassionate social justice tempered with humility, fair-mindedness, and humor.
