Applications are being accepted for the full-time, year-round position of Assistant Director of Residence Life. This position serves as a live-in area coordinator with responsibility for supervising the day to day community development and operations of one of two residential areas housing approximately 450 students. Assistant directors have responsibilities in 1) Greek Life; or 2) upper-class living learning programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Master's degree in college student personnel, counseling, social work or related field with residence life experience preferred; candidates with Bachelor's degree should have significant experience in residence life and educational program development. Experience with or knowledge of student life at a small, residential liberal arts college is preferred. Responsibilities and title will be based on professional experience and interest, and current staffing needs.

Preferred Skills

Ability to influence, motivate and educate others. Knowledge of student development, group dynamics, leadership training, and student group advising. Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents. Willingness to live in a residence hall and maintain flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends (residence hall apartment is fully furnished; requests for pets will be considered per established parameters).
